Update:
Herminia caused historic floods in Brittany, seriously touching Ille-et-Vilaine. The emergency services are on maximum alert in the face of the rise of the Vilaine.
The Herminia storm provoked important floods on Monday 27 January throughout Brittany, especially in Ille-et-Vilaine, which is on red alert.
The city of Rennes but also villages like Guipry-Messac and Pont-Réan had to face water levels never seen for forty years, transforming the streets into rivers.
The emergency services remain on maximum alert while the Vilaine continues to rise, exceeding normal by more than 3.5 meters.
Strong rains and strong winds have also affected Spain and South West of England, with significant damage.
