Unionized workers at Samsung Electronics declared an indefinite strike earlier this month to pressure South Korea’s largest company to accept their demands for higher wages and more.

Members of the national union at Samsung Electronics had initially launched a three-day temporary strike before announcing an indefinite strike, accusing management of being unwilling to negotiate.

This is the first strike in its 55-year history.

Samsung Electronics said production has not been disrupted so far.
