The demonstrators entered the site without causing damage and brandished banners calling for the end of violence in Gaza.

The messages included “Stop in Blood Bath in Gaza” and “Stop the genocide”, urging the military trade agreements and requesting immediate humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip.

The demonstration took place at the Acqua Paola fountain, known locally as “Fontanone”, which appeared in the opening scene of the Oscar film La Grande Bellezza.

A broader demonstration involving opposition parties and civil society groups is scheduled for Saturday in Rome, calling for a ceasefire.
