Video. Protesters in Rome ask for the end of the Israeli offensive in Gaza

Chanting “Free Free Palestine”, the demonstrators gathered on the Piazza San Giovanni, brandishing Palestinian flags and wearing simulated bodies to symbolize children killed in the conflict.

The demonstrators condemned the silence of the Italian government, exhoring the bonds with Israeli military policy.

A demonstrator denounced a massive famine in Gaza, while another criticized Italy’s “inexcusable inaction”.

The demonstration was organized by the main Italian center-left opposition parties, the ‘Democratic Party’, the ‘5-star movement’, ‘Green Europe’ and ‘Green and left alliance’.
