He managed it by a long shot: after falling during his first descent, he got back on the mountain and, this time, succeeded in his Tailwhip and Flip Whip tricks to obtain a score of 92.73 points.
The Pole Szymon Godziek took the lead in the event, but had to settle for second place with 91.66 points.
Third place went to American Tyler McCaul with 90.66 points.
