Organized by the conservative Democratic Party of Albania, the rally became tense when police deployed water cannons and tear gas to disperse demonstrators. Clashes broke out near city hall and Wilson Square, where activists blocked roads chanting “Rama, go away.”
As police worked to clear lanes for ambulances and restore order, opposition leaders denounced the political arrests, insisting the protests symbolized Albanians’ growing revolt against alleged corruption .
