After ten years of planning, an artificial wave surfing course has been built in the center of Rotterdam. It will open at the beginning of July, but the best surfers in the Netherlands have already been invited to test the waves this week.

Normally they can be found on the beach, but today they gather in the heart of Rotterdam — the Netherlands’ best surfers are testing the artificial wave of Rif 010 today. After ten years of preparation, the attraction opens finally its gates are filled with spectators.

This installation of artificial waves cost seven million euros. A great attraction for the city of Rotterdam, but those who want to surf for an hour will have to pay a lot: a ticket costs fifty euros.
