On the weekend of July 6-7, 2024, thousands of fantasy enthusiasts invaded the hall of the Inter Expo Center in Sofia to celebrate comic book culture, cosplay and gaming.
The festival featured competitions, film premieres and fan events.
Cosplay, where amateurs compete with homemade costumes, was judged by an international panel in categories such as best costume and best stage performance. Participants showed creativity and determination, with winners including amateur cosplayer Silvia Aleksandrova, as “Sylvanas Windrunner” from World of Warcraft, and art student Nicole Machorska, as “Kayle” from League of Legends.
The event attracted a record 25,000 visitors this year.
