Twenty-one professionals from Russia and abroad, including several world champions, compete within the walls of the Peter and Paul Fortress, where the city was founded in 1703.

This year’s theme, “The Sun of the Russian Land,” celebrates Russian history and culture. Running from July 12 to September 12, the 20th edition of the festival is dedicated to the 19th-century poet Alexander Pushkin.
