At least five people, including a 14-year-old girl, were killed in a Russian attack on a residential building in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second city, on Friday.

The attack, described by President Volodymyr Zelensky as a “Russian guided air bomb”, also injured 28 other people and caused significant damage.

Rescue operations are underway as power cuts have been reported in several areas.

Ukrainian President calls on allies to strengthen air defenses to avoid further civilian casualties.
