Israel says the shots were aimed at Hezbollah, with the Israeli army still seeking to push the Lebanese militant group out of the border area to allow residents in the country’s north to return home.
At least 1,400 Lebanese, including civilians, doctors and Hezbollah fighters, have been killed and 1.2 million driven from their homes since clashes began last year.
