Tattoo enthusiasts flocked to Hong Kong for a body art display during the three-day Hong Kong and China International Tattoo Exhibition.

Chinese calligraphy and animal portraits are popular trends in tattoo art.

Asian-inspired designs are a popular theme at this year’s International Tattoo Exhibition in Hong Kong.

For three days, tattoo artists and fans showcased their body art, inspired by themes ranging from mythology to anime to portraits of beloved pets.

Some modeled their very special designs for a competition on stage in front of a panel of judges.

The event brought together nearly a hundred booths and 70 tattoo artists from all over the world, including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Serbia, Poland, Singapore, Thailand, Hungary, France and the United Kingdom.
