At least one dead after landslide in eastern Turkey.

A deadly landslide occurred in Cayeli district of Rize following heavy rains. Masses of earth that broke away from the hillside filled the ground floor apartments of a six-story building.

A person trapped under the ground lost his life, while the residents of the building were evacuated by fire crews.

Rize is a city located in the Black Sea region and is the hometown of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
