Thousands of people took to the streets in Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities on Tuesday night to demand a ceasefire agreement from the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu and the immediate release of the remaining hostages held in Gaza by the Palestinian Hamas.

Many protesters held placards and large banners. Some sang slogans denouncing the Prime Minister, as well as messages in support of the captivesMany Israelis blame Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the growing hostage death toll.

The demonstrations have been continuing since The Israeli army announced on Sunday that it had recovered the bodies of six hostages killed by their captors in Gaza.as the troops closed in on where they were.
