Video. No Comment: Catastrophic flooding in Brazil

It is the extreme south of the country which is affected by the rising waters of the Guaíba River. 80,000 people were displaced.

Brazilian President Lula da Silva arrived on Sunday in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, where nearly 12 million people live.

Flooding caused landslides, destroyed roads and bridges across the state.

Such height of water had not been seen since 1941.
