Police confirmed that at least nine people were killed and a dozen injured in a bomb attack outside a cafe in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Sunday.

The attack was claimed by the Islamic militant group al-Shabab.

The Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud declared “all-out war” against the extremists, who control large areas of central and southern Somalia and have been the target of numerous U.S. airstrikes in recent years.
