Climate activists sprayed washable paint on a Christmas tree sponsored by Gucci in a shopping district in central Milan on Friday.
An environmental activist from the collective “Last generation” said he blamed thefashion and luxury industry for its unsustainable economic model which widens the wage gap and exploits natural resources.
Members of the collective sprayed paint on several monuments in Italy and set up roadblocks to denounce the lack of government action to fight against climate change.
“Last generation” requires in particular the creation of a repair fund for people affected by rising temperatures and extreme weather conditions.
