On February 14 in Kenya, an association organized a gathering, ‘Dark Valentine’. The organizers thus wanted to break the silence on violence against women, a subject often taboo in this East African country, where in 2023, at least 152 cases of femicide have been recorded.

According to a government report, more than 30% of Kenyan women experience physical violence in their lifetime.
