Indian officials said the strikes aimed at infrastructure related to militant groups allegedly responsible for the deadly attack last month against Kashmir tourists administered by India.
Precision weapons have been used to receive sites near Bahawalpur, Muridke and Kotli, including the alleged districts of Jaish-E-Mohammed and Lashkar-E-Taiba.
Pakistan reported civilian victims and claimed to have shot down several Indian planes in retaliation.
At least seven civilians were also killed in the cashmere controlled by India by Pakistani artillery firesaid the Indian army in a statement.
