An Israeli attack on a humanitarian zone in al-Mawasi left 90 Palestinians dead. Thousands of displaced Palestinians had taken refuge there. The Israeli military says it targeted Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it was not certain whether Deif was killed in the attack.
