Visitors to the Tonosho City Zoo are fascinated by the spectacle of monkeys huddling together to keep warm.

Monkeys bask in the sun during the day. But around sunset, they start to huddle together. Some of them hold their babies to their chests.

When temperatures start to drop, other monkeys gather in groups of around 50 to keep everyone warm.

Zoo officials say this popular winter attraction can be visited until about March.
