Riots involving several hundred people broke out following a peaceful march on Monday in support of the family of a victim of sexual assault. Violence broke out that evening, houses were burnt down and 15 agents were injured, police said.

On Tuesday, agents deployed water cannons and used plastic balls to master the crowd.

Two 14 -year -old boys were charged with the alleged assault; Both appeared before a court with a Romanian interpreter.

Deputy chief Ryan Henderson condemned the “Racial motivation disorder“, calling on the public to reject any justification for violence.
