Sony announces that it has surpassed the milestone of 50 million PlayStation 5s sold: the Japanese giant released the model in November 2020.

The previous model had exceeded the milestone of 50 million copies sold in a time frame barely shorter than that of Sony’s latest console.
Covid, semiconductor shortages and supply chain disruptions disrupted the launch of the PlayStation 5.
