Update:

Thick smoke rose above Port-Soudan on Tuesday after drone attacks hit the city for the second time in three days, Sudanese military officials said.

Sudan’s rapid support paramilitary forces (RSF) launched a new drone attack on Port-Soudan, affecting fuel tanks and disrupting thefts, the authorities said.

The assault follows a similar strike on Sunday which affected a military base and a civil warehouse, triggering a fire which lasted two days.

Images have shown smoke rising from the southern port area, where the Minister of Information, Khalid Aleiser, accused the United Arab Emirates of providing weapons to the RSF – an allegation that the Gulf Nation has firmly denied.

Formerly refuge against war, Port-Soudan is now targeted in a conflict that intensifies.
