A powerful explosion struck the restoration area of the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store on Thursday in Taichung in Taiwan, died and ten injured, including four in critical condition.
The emergency services, deployed in numbers, found significant damage, fragments of the facade having been screened in the street.
The origin of the disaster remains undetermined, an investigation is underway to establish the causes of the incident.
