While the human assessment increases in Goma, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the workers of the Red Cross continue the burial of the victims of recent fights.

According to the Congolese interior minister, 2,000 bodies were buried, while the WHO lists at least 900 dead.

Supported by Rwanda, the M23 paramilitary group claims Goma control and plans to establish an administration.

Following deadly clashes, the rebels announced a unilateral ceasefire in the region from Tuesday, February 4 for humanitarian reasons.
