About 50 boats have sailed along the large Venice canal on Sunday to claim the release of Alberto Trentini, a 45 -year -old Italian humanitarian person in Venezuela since November 15, 2024.

Alberto Trentini, member of the NGO Humanity & Inclusion, was arrested at a checkpoint while he was going from Caracas to Guasdalito. Since then, he has been detained without formal indictment, and his family has had no direct contact with him.

The Italian government, through its Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, summoned the Venezuelan official to protest the lack of information on the detention of Alberto Trentini. The European Parliament also expressed concern about this arbitrary detention.

While diplomatic approaches continue, recent information reassures the state of health of Alberto Trentini. However, his family, always deprived of any contact, remains deeply worried and calls for his rapid and secure return to Italy.
