Update:
Jordanians protested on Friday against the proposal of American president Donald Trump to move most of the population of the Gaza Strip.
Jordan joins other Arab countries to reject any expulsion of Palestinians and reiterate calls for the creation of a Palestinian state.
The demonstrators wore anti-Trump posters and banners and chanted pro-Palestinian slogans.
“We tell Trump that there is no room for you on Jordanian soil,” said Murad Al-Adaileh, leader of the Muslim Brotherhood Party in Jordan.
Trump, as well as Israeli officials who praised his plan, describe the proposed transfer of the Gaza Strip ravaged by war as voluntary, but the Palestinians have all expressed their determination to stay in their homeland.
