Video. Babies Pandas Leni and Lotti featured at the Berlin Zoo

Good news for lovers of pandas: since January 31, visitors to the Berlin zoo have finally been lucky to see the giant, Leni and Lotti binoculars, alongside their mother, Meng Meng.

Born on August 22 of last year, the two sisters became curious and energetic. According to Dr. Andreas Kniem, director of the zoo, in the morning offers the best opportunity to observe the family of pandas in full activity.

Leni and Lotti, who also respond to the names of Meng Hao (“sweet dreams”) and Meng Tian (“sweet dreams”), are a reference to the famous Berlin Marlene Dietrich and the Charlottenburg district where the Berlin zoo is located.

The Berlin Zoo has been hosting the giant German pandas only since summer 2017. These births, the second recorded in Germany, are particularly precious, because the reproduction of giant pandas remains complex. Currently, the number of pandas living in the wild in China is estimated at around 1,800, with only a few hundred in captivity worldwide.
