The Sarandi river, located in the suburbs of Buenos Aires, has become bright red, aroused the residents of the inhabitants as to a possible contamination.

Sarandi crosses industrial areas struck by poverty and including several factories that use hazardous waste incinerators.

Maria Ducomls, a resident of the region, said she woke up with a strong smell of smoke, then saw the river becoming “completely red, like a blood river”. The authorities have taken samples to determine the source of the problem.
