Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – broadcast scenes showing the targeting of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the alleys of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
The video shows Al-Qassam fighters targeting 10 Israeli Merkava tanks with “Al-Yassin 105” shells, causing them to catch fire, in addition to targeting buildings inside which the Israeli occupation forces were holed up with “TBG” anti-fortification shells.
On the other hand, Israeli Army Radio reported that a number of soldiers were injured during clashes in Jabalia.
Jabalia Camp was strongly present in every Israeli aggression or war, and presented the first martyr in the Stone Intifada, Hatem Abu Sisi, and his battalions had a prominent role in the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle.
The Jabalia camp provided many martyrs who were assassinated by the Israeli occupation, most notably the leader of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, Mahmoud Judeh in 2004, and the leader of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Fawzi Abu Al-Qara’ in 2005, as well as the leader of the Hamas movement, Nizar Rayan, known as the sheikh of the camp, where The occupation bombed his house during the 2009 war, killing him along with 15 members of his family.
The camp was strongly present in the October 7 attack, as its brigades played a major role in targeting the Erez crossing, Qaed Zakim, and Sderot, after which it was subjected to a systematic attack by the Israeli army, which committed many massacres.
The occupation forces responded with a massive ground attack on the camp, in which two military divisions participated, supported by hundreds of tanks. They faced fierce resistance, as the Al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades documented the destruction and targeting of dozens of tanks and hundreds of soldiers.
In light of talk about the success of the resistance in rebuilding its ranks and the return of its activity in conjunction with the broadcast of new scenes targeting Israeli tanks and soldiers, the occupation army returns to targeting the Jabalia camp with violent bombardment, despite announcing its withdrawal from it at the end of last December.
