This diamond of 10.38 carats in the shape of a kite, which would have formerly belonged to the daughter of Marie-Antoinette, Marie-Thérèse of Angoulême, dates back to the middle of the 18th century. Although no official document confirms its first property, the diamond has long been associated with the royal line.

After having reappeared during an auction in Geneva in 1996, the stone disappeared from the public view. Now mounted on a ring designed by the Parisian jeweler Jar, she goes around the world with stops in Los Angeles, Geneva and Hong Kong.

Christie’s will present the play on June 17, hoping for auction between 2.8 million and 4.6 million euros.
