A humpback whale briefly swallowed the Kayakist Adrián Simancas in Chilean Patagonia before spitting it unscathed.
The incident occurred in the Bahía El Águila, near the San Isidro lighthouse. While kayaking with his father, Adrián was stuck in the mouth of the whale for a few seconds before being released.
His father, Dell, filmed the moment. Despite this terrifying experience, both returned to the shore safe and sound. Whale attacks on human beings are rare in Chilean waters, but collisions with ships are increasing.
