The 2020 Marc-Viven Foé Prize also did not train before the team left Abidjan.
“The team doctors confirmed that he had been placed under close surveillance and that a member of the medical team had remained in Abidjan with him,” Babafemi Raji said.
Hit several times during the tough duels during the quarter-final against Angola, Osimhen was replaced at the end of the match.
Author “only” of one goal and one assist, the 25-year-old striker, best African player in 2023, remains the true master of his team, and the spearhead of the Nigerian offensive armada.
