The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression reached 21,672 martyrs, while the number of injured reached 56,165, at a time when the occupation forces intensified their operations in the Strip.

The northern and southern axes of the Gaza Strip witnessed fierce confrontations between the Israeli occupation forces and the Palestinian resistance, while the occupation gunboats fired heavy shells at the beaches of Deir al-Balah and Khan Yunis.

Israeli fighters and artillery also intensified the bombing of the central region, especially the Bureij, Nusseirat and Khan Yunis camps, where there is a high population density of refugees and displaced people from the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health said that the occupation committed 14 massacres during the past 24 hours, which led to the death of 165 and the injury of 250.

War on hospitals

The Israeli occupation army escalated its war on the Gaza Strip’s hospitals and health teams, as part of a devastating war on Gaza that it has been waging since the seventh of last October, resulting in material and human losses, massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to the Gaza Strip authorities and the United Nations.

Among the martyrs were 312 medical personnel, while 99 health workers in the Gaza Strip are still detained by the Israeli occupation forces.

The Ministry of Health condemned the exposure of thousands of detainees in Israel to “physical and psychological torture, starvation, thirst, lack of sleep, and continuous interrogation in the extreme cold.”

She pointed out that 23 hospitals and 53 health centers were out of service in the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli army bombing, which also destroyed 104 ambulances.

The Ministry called on the international community to send more medical aid, facilitate the evacuation of more injured people, and “take effective and urgent steps to ensure the protection of all hospitals and their staff and secure access to them.”
