Vatican Secretary of State visits Ukraine

Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, met with President Zelensky to clarify the Holy See’s position on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the current Vatican Secretary of State, in Kyiv. He discussed in particular Pope Francis’ statement in early February, calling on Kyiv to “raise the white flag and negotiate with Moscow.”

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the army is conducting intensive maneuvers, especially in forest areas.

This is the second exercise in a month.
