The Wall Street Journal quoted an Israeli official that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US President Donald Trump that Israel would strike Iran if it sought again to possess a nuclear weapon.

According to the newspaper, Trump expressed his hope that there would be no further American bombing of Iran, explaining to Netanyahu that he prefers a diplomatic settlement with Tehran, without objecting to Israel’s plan to target Iran.
