The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said yesterday, Sunday, that the health and living conditions in the Gaza Strip are “inhumane.”
The agency stated on the social media platform “X” that “mountains of waste are accumulating in the central areas of Gaza, while sewage is seeping into the streets.”
She added: “Families have no choice but to live next to this accumulated waste, which exposes them to unpleasant odors and the risk of an imminent health disaster.”
The UN agency called for an immediate ceasefire.
It is worth noting that Israel has been waging a massive war on the Gaza Strip since last October, which, according to a toll announced by the Ministry of Health in Gaza yesterday, Sunday, resulted in the death of 41,595 people and the injury of more than 96,000 others.
