UNGA votes in favor of expanding Palestinian rights | The United Nations

Enjoying overwhelming support, Palestine was granted expanded rights and privileges as part of its status at the UN. 143 nations voted in favor, with 9 against and 25 abstentions. Although improved, the new status does not allow Palestine to vote with the same rights as full member states.
