For 74 years, UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, has provided health care, education and social services to large numbers of people.
Yet the war on Gaza has seriously affected UNRWA, with Israeli airstrikes hitting its facilities and killing at least 130 of its aid workers.
UNRWA’s work was recognized at the Doha 2023 Forum, where we met its Commissioner General.
