The Russian army launched drones and missiles in Ukraine this Thursday, causing the death of a civilian and injuring several people in the south of the country. The Russian president announced for his part that his troops had “improved” their positions on almost the entire front line.
Last night on the city of Odessa, in Ukraine, Russian strikes left nearly 11 people injured, including 3 children. According to Ukrainian authorities, eleven buildings caught fire after attacks by the Russian army.
Ukraine said Thursday it had intercepted 41 of 42 explosive drones launched by Russia into its territory overnight, a new attack illustrating the growing pressure exerted by Moscow on the ground in recent days.
This resurgence of new Russian attacks comes the day after a nighttime strike on the city of kyiv leaving 53 injured.
The Russian army also fired S-300 missiles towards the southern regions of Kherson and Mykolaiv, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, which however did not detail the consequences of these strikes.
During his major televised press conference, Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian army has improved its positions on almost the entire front line in Ukraine.
In the event of Russia’s victory in Ukraine, there is a “real risk” that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not stop there, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warned Thursday in Brussels.
“If Putin wins in Ukraine, there is a real risk that his aggression will not stop there,” Mr. Stoltenberg told the press, insisting on the need to continue military aid to kyiv.
