“The Russian occupation forces attacked with an Iskander-K cruise missile, a Kh-59 guided missile and 20 Shahed-type attack drones”the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement.

Ukrainian forces shot down the drones as well as the Kh-59 missile, and the Iskander-K did not hit its target, she added, specifying that the missiles were fired from Crimea and the occupied region from Kherson (South).

On the Russian side, the Ministry of Defense indicated that its forces had “intercepted and destroyed” 33 Ukrainian drones in three border regions (Lipetsk, Rostov and Volgograd).

Ukrainian drone attacks have become almost daily in Russian regions bordering Ukraine. In recent months, they have also targeted the Russian capital Moscow and its surrounding areas.

Russia, for its part, bombs Ukrainian cities on a daily basis. This week, it carried out a massive drone attack on southern Ukraine and targeted Kyiv using ballistic missiles, the debris of which injured around fifty people.
