Ukraine: Precious holidays in Odessa, despite the war

We are always afraid. There are often bombings.” explains Luba, a tourist from Khmelnytskyi.

There may be mines, so we don’t swim beyond the buoys” explains Nastya, who came from the Kyiv region.

The city has been attacked several times by Russian drones and missiles. These beaches have been cleared of mines and a safety net has been laid at sea.

But some mines still litter the shore and residents are urged to remain cautious.
