A new massive attack by Russian drones and missiles on Ukraine left at least five dead and around twenty injured on Wednesday.

64 aerial devices were launched in total, according to the Ukrainian army, which says it intercepted 44 of them.

Several large cities were targeted, including the capital Kyiv, during a visit by the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell.

At least four people were killed in Kyiv and one in Mykolaiv, in the south of the country, where residential buildings were damaged.

Kharkiv police say North Korean-made rockets were used in Wednesday’s bombings.

The Ukrainian electricity network did not suffer critical damage, according to the public operator Ukrenergo.
