Ukrainian authorities have reported at least five deaths and around a hundred injured in Russian air attacks on Kyiv and Kharkiv on the night of Monday to Tuesday. The material damage is considerable, the electricity supply has been affected.

35 and 72 missiles launched by Russian forces were shot down, including ten Kinjal missiles, a record, according to the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army.

In his daily address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky praised Western defense systems, notably the American Patriot, which, according to him, helped save hundreds of lives.

However, the Kinjal hypersonic missiles are considered almost indestructible by Russian President Vladimir Putin because of their speed.

Moscow also indicated that the Russian border region of Belgorod had been the target of new Ukrainian strikes in recent hours.

On Saturday, a bombing left 25 dead and around a hundred injured.
