Jens Stoltenberg confirms that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is not possible before the start of the war.

Until then, according to the Secretary General of the Alliance, Westerners have no other choice but to maintain their support for the Ukrainians.

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General (male, English, 19 sec): “Yes, the front has not advanced much, and of course we would like them to liberate as much territory as possible, as quickly as possible , but even though the front did not move, the Ukrainians were able to inflict heavy losses on the Russian invaders.”

In the east of the country, Avdiivka reflects the conflict.

The city is devastated, emptied of its inhabitants, and for a year, neither the Ukrainians nor the Russians have managed to achieve a decisive breakthrough.

For his part, Volodymyr Zelensky accuses Russia of having deliberately targeted Ukrainian port infrastructure.

According to the Ukrainian president, Russian bombings are causing enormous difficulties for grain exports.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine: “Ukraine’s food export touches the lives of about 400 million people in different parts of the world, in Africa and Asia. The poorest nations, and those whose Social life is stable, but unfortunately, at any moment, can be hit by chaos due to the shortage of food on people’s tables.”

The bad weather hitting Ukraine adds to the bombings.

At least eight people were killed in annexed Crimea and ten others in the Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions.
