In the Ukrainian region of Kharkiv, civilians are undergoing military training. More than 250 have already passed through the regional institution of national resistance, created this year.

“I need this training not only to defend Ukraine, but also as a teacher living in dangerous times, said Nadiia Mokliak. If I have to write an essay on the topic “How did you spend your summer?”, I will write a very interesting essay.

The director of the institution, Oleksandr Zalivan, says that about 400 people are currently undergoing training.

“All this is necessary because sudden explosions occur in our infrastructure, in populated areas, he said. And any person can, at any time, find themselves in a situation where they have to survive or provide assistance to someone nearby.”

Volunteers learn, among other things, how to handle firearms.
