In Ukraine, two civilians were killed and four others injured this Sunday after Russian bombings in the Kherson region.

At the same time, Kyiv claims that its anti-aircraft defenses shot down 18 Russian drones and a missile overnight from Sunday to Monday.

In the west of the country, near 1,000 towns and villages reportedly suffered power outages over the past 48 hours as the region has been hit by bad winter weather.

As the defensive battle against Russia enters its second winter, the soldiers’ families are mobilizing to provide them with all their support.

Voices have still been raised to demand the return of the captive troops, while others wonder how long the exhausted soldiers will be able to endure this daily battle.

Many relatives are also demanding the abolition of military service to undetermined duration.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry has released new images of its troops on the front lines.

Kyiv is investigating allegations that Russian forces reportedly shot down Ukrainian soldiers who were surrendering as shown in a video circulating on social networks.

If these facts are proven, the killing of prisoners of war constitutes a flagrant violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime.
