Ukraine: at least three dead in the latest Russian strikes in the south of the country

Russian attacks in southern Ukraine in recent days have killed at least three civilians and injured dozens more.

A woman was killed and around twenty people were injured in a series of Russian night bombings, which hit the Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv, according to Ukrainian emergency services. Fires broke out following the bombings which targeted a residential area.

Further south, Russian attacks on the Ukrainian city of Kherson left two dead, according to local authorities.

According to the Ukrainian army, on Tuesday, twelve Russian drones were shot down in the oblasts of Kyiv, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad and Cherkasy. Four Russian drones reportedly lost, “probably due to active anti-aircraft defense.”
