Ukraine: at least three dead in Kharkiv, energy infrastructure targeted again

At least three people were killed in a Russian bombing of Ukraine’s second city, Kharkiv, on Saturday afternoon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said 38 other people were injured in the attack. Four aerial bombs were dropped on the city, damaging residential buildings, shops and public transport stops, the region’s governor, Oleh Syniehubov, said. He added that four of the injured were in serious condition.

Strikes on energy infrastructure

Russia also continues to attack Ukrainian energy infrastructure. During the night from Friday to Saturday, strikes targeted installations of the national manager Ukrenergo in the Zaporizhzhia and Lviv regions, said the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, which refers to an attack “massive”.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, two employees were injured and had to be hospitalized, according to the ministry.

The governor of the Lviv region told him that a Russian missile had caused a fire in an energy infrastructure.
